Agent skill catalogs compared

Several places list SKILL.md skills, each with a different focus. Here's an honest map of the landscape — they're largely complementary, and GuildSkills cross-links all of them.

How GuildSkills fits

We don't compete with the spec or the agent-native hubs — we're the cross-agent discovery and ranking layer on top of the open standard. GuildSkills mines the broad ecosystem, normalizes every entry to one schema, adds a multi-signal Quality Score, and gives every agent a dedicated install path. If you maintain a skill, it stays with you — we link to your source and honor opt-out requests.

Why a separate Claude view?

ClaudSkills is our sister site for the Claude Code ecosystem specifically. GuildSkills covers the broader cross-agent universe — Hermes, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and more. Same open standard, different lens. Pick the one that matches your agent.

Catalogs compared — answered

What's the difference between GuildSkills and agentskills.io?
agentskills.io is the home of the SKILL.md specification — the standard itself. GuildSkills is a registry built on that standard: a searchable, ranked catalog of 84,000+ skills across 40+ agents. The spec defines the format; we help you find and install skills.
Is GuildSkills the same as ClaudSkills?
They're sister sites sharing infrastructure. ClaudSkills is the Claude Code view; GuildSkills is the cross-agent view (Hermes, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and more). Same open standard, different positioning.
Does GuildSkills compete with the Hermes Skills Hub or ClawHub?
No — those are agent-native registries for their own ecosystems. GuildSkills is the cross-agent layer that indexes and ranks across the whole standard, and links out to the native hubs.
