A registry, not a vendor

What we do

Every skill in the catalog is mined from a public GitHub repository or submitted by its author. The miner runs nightly, applies an admission threshold to filter out empty or malformed entries, and publishes the surviving catalog as an unrated stack — every admitted skill appears equally on browse pages, with no public quality score.

Pro subscribers see a multi-signal Quality Score on every skill in the desktop app. The score is content-derived: structural heuristics (80%) + metadata depth (20%). Authors are never paid; ranking cannot be bought. The same logic powers both GuildSkills and our sister site ClaudSkills — they share a backend and a single Pro subscription works on both.

What we don't do

• We don't author skills. Every entry has an author, source repo, and license. We index and rank — the content is somebody else's.
• We don't take money from skill authors. No paid listings, no acceleration, no ranking boost, no sponsored placements. Revenue comes only from end-users buying the evaluation layer (Pro).
• We don't claim author endorsement of cross-agent use. Skills appear here because they conform to the open SKILL.md standard. Behavioural compatibility depends on whether the skill uses any agent-specific features — every detail page flags known constraints.
• We don't refuse opt-outs. If you're a skill author and prefer not to be listed under cross-agent positioning, email acreatorstore@translatea.com — we remove your entry within 48 hours.

Relationship to ClaudSkills

GuildSkills and ClaudSkills are sister brands run by the same team. ClaudSkills positions specifically for the Claude Code ecosystem (Claude-coded SEO terms, Anthropic-adjacent audience, the highest-willingness-to-pay segment). GuildSkills covers the broader open Agent Skills standard across 40+ compatible clients.

The two share a backend: same catalog, same Quality Score, same Stripe Pro subscription, same Cloudflare R2 bucket serving SKILL.md and per-skill HTML. Buy Pro once, get the Quality Score on both sites.
